Two steps. Backup:
Use the Backup option under the File menu.
The Browse button lets you direct your backups to a folder of your choice. Create that folder ("New Folder" button), or browse to a folder you already have. Write the backup with the "OK" button. This writes a compressed (zip) file of your entire database. It takes just a moment. You might even do this each time you start the program. You may also send backups to a USB drive (flash drive, thumb drive...) with a temporary drive letter (often e: or f:). This works so long as the USB drive gets the same temporary drive letter each time you insert it, and the USB drive is inserted before you write to its drive letter. With or without a USB drive, you want to get your backups to a safe place away from this computer. This backup does not include Windows Registry settings used by the software. For that, see:
