TFW software is downloaded from our web store, not boxed or mailed.

You download TFW software in zip compressed files. You'll need WinZip or an equivalent to extract the compressed files. WinZip is available at no charge from http://www.winzip.com. Windows XP has a built-in equivalent (Extract).

Some TFW software requires PCCharge Pro or PCCharge Payment Server. Install and test PCCharge before using it with TFW software.

Follow these steps to download and install TFW software.

1) Click the TFW download link in your email message or browser. You'll see a box titled "Downloading tfw020_Install.zip" (for example). A message asks "Open or save to disk"? Save the file to a familiar location or folder on your hard drive, where you can find it again a minute or two later.

2) Right click the file and choose "Open" or "Open With WinZip". Click "Extract" and decide where you want to put the temporary installer files. Make a new folder for them, such as c:\TempTFW. The folder and its files are not needed again after the install.

3) In the temporary folder you just created, find the file Setup (Setup.exe) and open it. Then follow the instructions of the Windows installer.

TFW software uses the Microsoft .NET application framework (pronounced "dot net") for Windows. To use .NET you'll need Windows XP or Windows 2000, Windows NT or Windows ME. You'll want Windows XP. If you don't have .NET in a current version, you'll be prompted to download and install it from the Microsoft site. You want the .NET 1.1 runtime (.NET Framework Version 1.1 Redistributable).

To protect you and your members, TFW software requires a password in places. When you first install, the password is "none" in lower case letters. Replace this with your own password. Under "Help" select "Set Password".
