TFW Members: Online Documentation - Alliance ACH: File Upload

You may upload a file of checking transactions (drafts, purchases...) to AllianceACH if you do not have Internet at your location, or your Internet connection is unavailable for whatever reason.

For the file upload to AllianceACH, your settings are:

Tab: Settings
Button: Direct Debit Settings

Select "Tab-Delimited" from the drop box. Press the More button.

Include these columns in this order:

   1 Amount
   2 Bank Routing Number
   3 Account Number
   4 DateToDo
   5 MemberName

When you log on to Alliance, select File Management from the Merchant Tools (upper right).

You'll see:

Upload File
File Path:	Begin Import after Upload

Use the Browse button to locate the file you wrote to your TFW Data Directory. Mark the Begin Import checkbox. Use the Upload File button.

The first time you describe your file, you'll see:

Field Separator [comma ] OR [, ]

Change this to:

Field Separator [tab ] OR [ ]

Make sure you clear the comma from the box following OR. Then click the Parse File button at the bottom.

You then see:

File Import Options
Use this page to specify file import options and field order.

File Name: Checks_0007.txt
Line Count: 130
First Line Text: 31.25 122000496 4037010560 05/01/2006 PPD DEBIT CHK name

Import Format

Use Existing File Format:

Field Separator:

File Format Name:

Required for Save File Format

[ ] Set as Default

Answer as above. Name the file format "TFWTabDelimited" at the bottom. Mark the box "Set as Default". You won't need to answer these questions again.

Click the Save File Format button. Click the Continue Import button.

Alliance analyzes the file and reports that it found, for example, 127 lines for $4953.87

Click the Approve Format button.
